CATCHING CLOUDS ENROUTE TO THE HILL COUNTRY
01 NIGHT/02 DAYS TRAVEL ITINERARY
At 5,500 feet up in the sky, the land below is picture perfect. Lush green mountains and tiered paddy lands are interspersed by the snacking black- tarred roads , chock –full of loaded busses and honking cars creating the ever- present traffic snarl-ups. Next to it, you see the Mahaweli River flowing calmly in all her majesty. But all too soon, you have reached your destination.
This is how your journey begins,
Day 01
On arrival at Katunayake International Airport or Colombo (Water’s Edge) you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to the Cinnamon Air domestic terminal in time for your flight to Kandy.
In approximately 25 min, you will reach Kandy’s Polgolla Reservoir and you will be driven to your hotel. Check-in to the Hotel.
Kandy the last royal citadel situated in the central hills of Sri Lanka with an exotic oriental atmosphere, picturesquely located bordering a lake & river. Kandy is a cultural sanctuary where age old customs, arts & crafts thrive and flourish. The bustling hill country capital is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is famous for the pink painted Temple of the Tooth which houses the most sacred religious relic, the tooth of the Buddha, the Kandy Lake built in 1807 which is an attractive centerpiece to the town and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Kandy is also popular because of the annual festival known as the Esala Perahera where the inner casket covering the tooth relic of the Buddha is taken in a grand procession through the streets of the city held annually in the month of July or August.
Your afternoon will include a visit to the Temple of The Tooth (the temple which enshrines the Tooth Relic of the Buddha) and drive around the Kandy Lake.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the bustling market place and bazaar areas with your guide. Evening ends with cultural performance for traditional Kandyan dancing.

After breakfast, visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens – This beautiful 147 acre pleasure garden of the Kings boasts of over 5,000 species of plants and trees, some of which are rare and endemic to the tropical world.
Day 02

After completion, you will be driven back to Polgolla reservoir water aerodrome in time for your flight.

02 NIGHTS/03 DAYS TRAVEL ITINERARY
Day 01
On arrival at Katunayake International Airport or Colombo (Water’s Edge) you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to the Cinnamon Air domestic terminal in time for your flight to Bentota.
Afternoon, do a city tour of Galle Fort and a visit to Turtle Hatchery.
Day 02
After breakfast, river safari on Madu Ganga. It is a wonderful way of seeing some of the hundreds of species of plants and animals, water monitor lizard glides slowly through the water, and cormorants, egrets and king fisher’s wait patiently on the banks, eyeing for water for their prey.
There are around 64 islands in the river and lagoon, from a tiny speck housing a deserted shrine to one housing 250 families connected to the mainland with a very long footbridge. Length of tour – 02 hrs.
After completion back to the hotel and the rest at leisure.
Day 03 – Transfer to Colombo on the Air taxi or a car.
