COLOMBO CITY TOUR
A drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street – the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at.
Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square. Visit Mlesna exquisite tea boutique, cashew nut shop, readymade garments and all sorts at Majestic City. Visit the Lanka Ceramics Centre, a place where you can buy “NORITAKE SET” or other ceramic items, visit the ‘ODEL SHOP’, House of Fashions, Laksala.
Visit to “Ape Gama”, (our village) is a replica of traditional old day Sri Lankan village. This is located in Battaramulla, close to “Diyatha Park”. Ape Gama displays traditional industries, village life style and how self-sufficient old day Sri Lankan society functions in those days, dinner at this place with typical Sri Lankan village experience with some Sri Lankan cooking demonstration.
Snacks will be arranged.
GALLE CITY TOUR
We leave for Galle the first stop is at Kosgoda where we will visit the turtle hatchery, After that, we continue our journey to Galle, Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in south and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and South Asian traditions.
The Galle Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. When we arrived in Galle we sightseeing the city, visit the Dutch fort, the Galle Museum, an old Dutch church and the British church, We proceed and see the stilt Fishermen sit on sticks while fishing in the traditional way.
Proceed to Ambalangoda to see the Mask Carving. You can find many types of traditional Sri Lankan mask in Ambalangoda. These masks are used in voodoo and other traditional rituals. Carving of wooden Muppets another especially of this locale. Both these types of handicrafts show the marvel of traditional craftsmanship prevalent in Sri Lanka.
We will have a boat trip at the Maduganga River in Balapitiya with his famous 68 islands. After that we can go and visit Bawa Gardens. The gardens at Lunuganga are a rare tropical Eden created by Geoffrey Bawa, Sri Lanka’s most influential architect. And what started out as an abandoned rubber estate, is now one of the most unique places to stay in the country. Over a span of 50 years, Bawa lovingly made this enchanting house and its gardens his spiritual home, which is known today as his most personal life’s work. The intriguing estate in the coastal town of Bentota has interesting history of evolution.

The Royal Colombo Golf Club
The oldest Golf Club in Sri Lanka. Established in 1880, it is located in the capital city of Colombo at the The Ridgeway Links also known as the Anderson Golf Course. It is home to the Sri Lanka Golf Union, the governing body of Golf in Sri Lanka and maintains links with the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland.
Golf can be arranged in morning or afternoon as you wish. Newly constructed practice range is open daily except Monday.
You will be taken to Royal Golf Club and after completion will be taken back to the hotel. Meals provided.
COLOMBO CITY WALKS
